PetShopMeds Company Overview
Our company was founded in November of 2002, on the notion of supplying less expensive pet prescription medication to American pet owners. After many conversations with our families, friends, and vets, we came to the conclusion that too many people (of all ages) were paying extremely inflated prices for their pets' essential medication.
In order to help Americans combat the exorbitant costs of pet prescription medication, we devised the PetShopMeds Program. PetShopMeds has teamed up with local pet stores and veterinarians to provide manufacturer sealed pet pharmaceuticals, directly to customers across America. All prescriptions are filled by licensed Canadian pharmacies, who have been providing affordable brand and generic medication to pet owners for a number of years. Using PetShopMeds, customers may fill their pet's prescription from the convenience of home and enjoy savings of 30-60%. There is NO COST associated with customer and/or veterinarian participation.

PetShopMeds Program Overview
This program may be used by an entire hospital, a group of veterinarians, or a single practice, therefore all references made to "vet" below will encompass all of the aforementioned users. Please note: There is No Cost associated with patient and/or veterinarian participation. Program details are as follows:
1) Vet signs up via the PetShopMeds website, sales rep., email, or phone inquiry:
- All vet information is entered by PetShopMeds (website address, vet signature(s), office details, etc.) and can be changed by the vet, at any time, by using their admin section. All vets within a group/clinic wanting to participate, must have their required information entered to become a member of the program.
- The vet receives their own customized website, activated by PetShopMeds.
- Their site is ready to accept orders.
2) The vet is now part of the PetShopMeds program:
- The vet now has their own website to which they may refer their patients. The site may be updated to include specific veterinarian's information, as well as, communicate office details and hours.
- By entering their username and password vets may log in to their site's admin, and perform, among other things: View, approve, or reject orders, update site details/info, view site statistics by vet/month/year, contact customer service, and obtain PetShopMeds Help. The admin section should be checked daily to approve orders (if necessary) and place orders from within the vet's office.
- The vet is given a complete PetShopMeds reference manual, as well as, pamphlets with their specific name and web address attached, to hand out to patients. These pamphlets may be placed throughout the office using holders provided by PetShopMeds.
3) Patients interested in PetShopMeds may have their order placed in one of two ways:
- Directly by the vet or staff during the patient's visit. Prescriptions filled in this manner would be ordered through the vet's admin, and will automatically have a status of "Approved." Placement in this fashion would require no further interaction by the vet or staff for PetShopMeds to begin processing.
- Patients order, through the vet's website, from home or another location. Prescriptions filled this way will have a status of "Awaiting Approval", and will need to be "Approved" by the vet or staff before PetShopMeds processing will commence. "Approving" orders is a very quick and easy task and may be accomplished at anytime by reviewing the order in the veterinarian's admin section.
4) Once an order has been placed and its status is "Approved":
- All customer service will be handled by PetShopMeds. This includes, but is not limited to: Credit processing, shipment tracking, updating orders, and answering all inquiries.
- Current order status and particulars are available at anytime to both the patient and vet. Patients may view this information by visiting the vet's website, and the veterinarian may use both their website and admin to obtain these details.
5) The patient's prescription is filled and shipped to the address provided:
- The order is filled by a licensed pharmacy in Canada. All pharmaceuticals are manufacturer sealed, and are shipped directly to the patients address of choice.
- If the prescription was entered with Refills, the patient may generate these either by using their vet's website, or dealing directly with PetShopMeds customer service. The vet's site will allow for refills until there are no more available for that particular order. Note: No veterinarian involvement is required in the refill process.
- Any delivery or refill inquiries should be directed to PetShopMeds customer service.
- The order process is now complete.
This program may be offered to any number of pet owners that may be interested in PetShopMeds. This information is intended to be a general guide and is in no way a complete overview of the PetShopMeds Program.
